Hello, Welcome, Thank-you for clicking on to my site, Bright Life Studio.

My name is Anna Reynolds and I’m a Performers Coach.

This is currently a skeleton site, but while it’s in the process of being redesigned, let me share with you a little bit about what a performers coach means, what I do and specifically how it can benefit you.

To avoid confusion, let me start by telling you what I don’t do. I don’t teach acting techniques. My style of coaching is not acting training.

I work with professional actors, actresses, singers and dancers, people just like yourself, and I coach in a particular way to enable you to overcome any issues you may be experiencing which are blocking you from greater success in your profession, or stopping you from having healthy loving relationships, or a happier more meaningful life.

So, what sort of issues do performers approach me with? A whole range of problems such as stage fright and performance anxiety, a fear of forgetting lines, nerves in castings, a lack of confidence or a lack of self-worth,  fear of failure, or equally, a fear of success,  jealousy, depression,  stress and anxiety,  addictions, an inability to stay present in the moment when performing, or present in the moment in life.

My intention with all of my clients is to help you get the changes you want as simply and as quickly as is possible and right for you. And to do this I have trained in some of the most effective and cutting edge modern methods of facilitating behavioural change.

So if any of these issues resonate with you, if any of them sound or feel familiar to you, then please do give me a call because I can help you.

Very often an actor or a performer will accept these fears and insecurities, believing they are simply part of life as an actor.

I want to tell you right now, it doesn’t have to be that way.  You don’t have to suffer for your art, if you don’t want to. Being congruent and confident enough to express yourself openly and be true to who you are does not mean you change into an arrogant or cocky person.

What it does mean is, you have presence.

In reference to Patsy Rodenburg, Ian McKellen is quoted as saying “Patsy Rodenburg wants to free your voice so that you can express yourself fully and honestly”

My pledge to you is, I want to free your mind so that you can express yourself fully and honestly.

I can’t promise this will always happen, but what I can promise is my commitment to you, which is huge.

Throughout our coaching you may find yourself laughing, you may be confused, you may experience huge epiphanies or emotional outpourings. I am likely to stretch you and push you beyond your limits, all the while fully supporting you through this process of transformation.

For you to experience real long-lasting change, what I ask from you is your commitment to the process. So please don’t contact me if you’re not serious about making changes within yourself and your life.

But if you are a performer who is passionate about your craft and passionate about improving yourself and making some big changes, I look forward to speaking to you.

Before I became a coach I was an actress, so I fully understand the mindset of a performer. What I’m deeply passionate about now is helping performers empower themselves in what can often seem like a disempowering industry. When I see a client emerge from coaching with the confidence to be absolutely true to who they are and express themselves freely in their work and their life,  I find that incredibly rewarding.

I’d like to leave you with this thought….I believe the mark of a great actor and performer is someone who has the confidence to stay fully present in the moment with the courage to express strength and vulnerability in equal measure. I also believe this is the mark of a great human being.

If that sounds like something that you want to aim for, if that’s how you’d like to see yourself in this world, then please do contact me, because a performer with that goal really does excite me.
